Grant continues to raise money for Julia’s House

The staff at Grant UK has been generous once again, raising over £350 for local children’s charity, Julia’s House, with a raffle held in September.

At the beginning of the year, Grant UK selected Julia’s House as its chosen charity so 2017’s company calendar has been filled with lots of fundraising activities. So far this year, Grant UK’s staff have raised money through bake sales, specialty lunches and a “Wear Red” day in early July. With the autumn months now here, the fundraising activities are only set to continue.

In early September, a raffle was held with two enticing prizes up for grabs. The Runner-Up prize was a bottle of champagne, something which will be enjoyed by Caroline Hawkes in GUK’s Accounts Department. The top prize was a pass for two people to enjoy the indulgent spa facilities at Bowood Spa near Calne, Wiltshire. The spa pass was kindly donated by Bowood Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort and it proved to be a very popular prize with over 70 tickets sold. The lucky winner of the main prize and ready to enjoy a relaxing spa day in the beautiful surrounds of the Wiltshire countryside is Julie Chalker who is also in the Accounts Team!

In total, this raffle has raised £355 which Grant UK will present to Julia’s House to help support this charity’s excellent work in helping seriously ill children in Wiltshire and Dorset. Julia’s House has recently opened its new hospice in Devizes which is the first of its kind in the county, delivering much needed support for local children and their families.

More fundraising activities are in the diary for the remainder of the year with a spooky fancy-dress planned for Halloween next month.
