England Lioness and Worcester Bosch team up to support local football club

England Lioness Lauren Hemp joined leading heating and hot water manufacturer Worcester Bosch as they donated a brand-new boiler and put on an exclusive coaching session for a local Lancashire-based football club and its young players, as part of its ‘Warming Your Community’ initiative.

The initiative was launched in July 2021 for the company to give back to those who make a positive difference to their community, with local organisations nominated to receive the support.

Coppull United F.C. is a vital hub for many aspiring footballers in its local community, but with their existing boiler beyond repair, and energy costs ever rising, the club could not afford a suitable replacement meaning that the winter months could be tough for the local players.

Through Worcester Bosch’s ‘Warming Your Community’ initiative, however, the club was able to secure these essential upgrades. Mark Heyes from Heyes Plumbing and Heating nominated the club and installed the donated Worcester Bosch boiler free of charge.

Worcester Bosch also asked Lauren Hemp to lead a day of training with young footballers from the local community.

Mark Heyes, the installer and also a volunteer at the club, was central to the success of the day. He commented; “I’m delighted to have been able to support the club even more. The new, efficient boiler will not only keep the club members warm but also help keep running costs down.”

Ann Smith, Coppull United F.C. Treasurer, shared this sentiment, stating: “We can’t thank Worcester Bosch and Lauren enough. The new system will keep everybody warm in winter. We’re just so grateful for it because we couldn’t afford to do it alone.”
