With a brand new complex due to open later this year, retirement village provider Richmond Villages, which is part of BUPA, wanted to ensure a reliable yet energy efficient heating system for all the residential apartments. The solution came from Alpha Heating Innovation, with the installation of its flagship combination boiler – the InTec 34C.
The Richmond Villages complex in Aston-on-Trent has been designed in such a way that residents can enjoy an independent and full lifestyle. Each apartment comprises a sitting room, a fully fitted kitchen, one or two bedrooms and en suite shower room to the master bedroom. The InTec 34C was chosen for its ability to deliver a high flow rate of hot water at the tap. In addition, it features Alpha’s Seasonality Valve, which automatically adjusts the DHW flow based on the temperature of the incoming main. This prevents any adverse effect on hot water temperature in colder weather, also reducing water wastage.
Commenting on the choice of heating system, Albert Josephs, Head of Developments at Richmond Villages, said: “We are extremely happy with the installation of Alpha InTec C combination boilers. Our ethos is based on our villages providing vastly more than just retirement accommodation; Richmond Aston-on-Trent will offer an aspirational lifestyle for its residents with luxury homes as well as a broad range of facilities on the doorstep. We want residents to rest assured they’ll receive the comforts they need to live well whilst we adopt the most energy efficient solutions possible, which is why choosing the correct heating system is of utmost importance”.
Chris Stanton of Dodd Group who installed the boilers, commented: “There is little more satisfying than installing a home, or a set of homes, with the right heating system. Richmond Aston-on-Trent is a prime example of this, with the Alpha InTec 34C boiler being an ideal choice for the needs of the residents in these modern, luxury homes. The boilers are easy to operate and require little management, so one less thing for those enjoying their retirement to worry about”.
