Wall panelling manufacturer Showerwall is now supplying its Laminate collection with either a plywood or exterior grade MDF (EGMDF) coreboard, offering greater choice for customers.
The company says the decision to introduce a plywood option alongside EGMDF was based on customer feedback, giving installers choice over the material they prefer to work with.
The plywood coreboard is available on all Laminate designs in the Original, Impression and Majestic collections.
Also new is a 900mm wide Proclick Laminate panel, suited for use above bathtubs and in larger shower areas. The 900mm panels are said to be easier to handle on a single person installation and reduce the waste generated from cutting 1200mm panels down to size.
Katie Cope, Head of Showerwall, said: “We’re excited to be extending our coreboard choice by launching plywood as standard, with no minimum order required.
“We’ve listened to the market and responded – we know that many installers have a preferred coreboard and we want our extensive range of designs to be available on the materials they like to work with. Printing on plywood allows us to preserve the high-quality Laminate designs and textures we’re known for, on a high quality and durable surface.
“Introducing 900mm Proclick panels is also about delivering that attention to detail which Showerwall is known for and allows installers to create a perfectly balanced wallcovering in larger bathroom spaces.”
