NAPIT releases updated Codebreakers guide

Codebreakers was first created in 2017 and is the original, industry leading guide designed to assist inspectors with coding observations found during Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs).

This year, the book has been updated to align with the 18th Edition of the IET Wiring Regulations, BS 7671:2018. The guide has also been crowned as a winner of the Top Product Award in Professional Electrician & Installer Magazine’s (PE) 2018 Annual Awards. These awards are selected on the level of interest and enquiries generated by PE’s 70,000+ readership.

PE Editor, Richard Bowler, said: “Our annual awards are a great way to reward those companies that have come up with excellent ideas to help electrical installers and businesses overcome common problems in their everyday work or open up new profit streams. NAPIT’s EICR Codebreakers is therefore a very worthy winner of one of our 2018 Top Product Awards.”

The book features hundreds of new observations and codes, four brand new sections and new information directly tailored for the social housing sector.

NAPIT’s Group Chief Executive, Mike Andrews, added: “Following the positive feedback received from our original version of Codebreakers, we are proud to have created and released a more in-depth and detailed version of the publication. This copy of Codebreakers has not only been updated to comply with the 18th Edition of the Wiring Regulations, but it has also had input from a range of professionals across the industry in addition to NAPIT’s senior technical team. We were pleased with the successful launch at ELEX in Sandown Park and we look forward to receiving further feedback in the future.”

The new Codebreakers guide is available to purchase at www.napitdirect.co.uk.
