A Twitter poll by @pbplumber has shown an overwhelming rejection of the need for CGCS. In the poll, which attracted almost 600 votes, 19 out of 20 respondents answered “no” to the question “As an installer, do we need CGCS?”
To recap, on February 3rd, Capita Gas Compliance Services (CGCS) unveiled a new UKAS accredited gas safety certification scheme. The scheme is designed to serve as a benchmark of best practice for Gas Safe registered businesses and to confirm that legal gas safety standards are met.
We have reached out via Twitter to those who voted ‘yes’ in the poll to hear their perspective on the scheme but have yet to receive a response.
