Chemical water treatment manufacturer Fernox is supporting the UK’s professional body for the plumbing and heating industry – the Chartered Institute of Plumbing & Heating Engineering (CIPHE).
Since 1973, over 260 organisations have become Industrial Associates of CIPHE. Associates such as Fernox have the technical resources and knowledge to help the CIPHE customer support team provide a service that is second-to-none. The organisations work together to produce the internationally recognised Plumbing Engineering Services Design Guide.
Over 7,000 members benefit from the latest technical literature, a private website with a members only forum, downloadable Dataflow Sheets and e-learning modules, as well as additional information and support services. A variety of technical evenings are also available, many of which are CPD accredited and aim to educate engineers on best installation practices whilst providing a chance to view the latest product solutions from some of the industry’s leading manufacturers.
Additionally, the professional body helps registered plumbing and heating engineers to further their career by becoming Approved Contractor Persons (ACP), registering with the ECuk as an Engineering Technician or Incorporated Engineer, or achieving recognition by becoming a Master Plumber, amongst other certifications.
Francine Wickham, Global Marketing Manager at Fernox, commented: “The CIPHE has a crucial role to play in maintaining professional standards and providing homeowners with the confidence that work undertaken by a CIPHE engineer is completed by a competent person to the highest possible standard. At Fernox, we have long been committed to training and education and our partnership with CIPHE is fundamental to this ethos.”
