Fernox recently held its annual charity golf day, and with crucial support from customers, partners and suppliers within the plumbing and heating sector, the day raised £8,648 for nominated charity, Shooting Star Chase.
The success of this latest fundraising event brings the total charity contribution to over £63,000 from Fernox’s golf day events alone.
Now in its sixth year, the Fernox Charity Golf Day for 2015 was held at the Whitefields Golf Course and Club in Warwickshire. The Fernox team was joined by over 70 manufacturers, installers, merchant partners and other industry professionals. Boiler manufacturer, Baxi, won the overall golf tournament and attendees also participated in a charity auction, awards ceremony and raffle.
Calvin Pope, UK and Ireland Sales Director at Fernox, commented: “We are extremely proud to support Shooting Star Chase. We thank all those who have helped us for many years to raise vital funds for the charity, which provides such important care.”
Shooting Star Chase is a leading children’s hospice charity caring for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions and their families. Alex Rennie, Head of Corporate Fundraising at Shooting Star Chase, said: “The support of companies like Fernox is vital in helping us raise the £9.5 million we need every year to maintain our care services. The money raised will allow us to support families who find themselves in the most unimaginable of circumstances, ensuring that we can help make every moment count for babies, children and teenagers with a life-limiting condition.”
