Fernox has donated £10,000 to Woking & Sam Beare Hospice through its ESI Foundation. The company says the move reinforces its commitment to the communities in which its colleagues live and work.
The hospice was selected due to the personal connections many of the Fernox employees have with the charity. Woking & Sam Beare Hospice is a patient led charity that delivers palliative and end of life care to those who have advanced life-limiting illnesses living in Northwest Surrey. The donation will fund approximately 380 hours of in-patient care.
Dave Holley, Chemical Technical Manager and Melissa Cook, Sales Support and Marketing Executive from Fernox attended the cheque presentation at the hospice,
Charel Marais, General Manager at Fernox said: “We are thrilled to support the Woking & Sam Beare Hospice with this donation. It’s impossible to put into words what an important role the hospice and its team play for individuals and their families. The Fernox team will also be volunteering at the hospice later in the year as part of our commitment to support them in any way we can.”
Lucy McNally, Income Generation Manager at Woking & Sam Beare Hospice also commented: “We’re so grateful for the incredible generosity of Fernox. This donation will enable patients and their loved ones to receive end-of-life care as well as support through the challenges of illness, loss, and bereavement. It’s wonderful to work with the team at Fernox to support our shared community.”
