DiscreteHeat launches online training for ThermaSkirt registered installers

DiscreteHeat has launched a series of online training modules for its ThermaSkirt system. On completion, installers can become ThermaSkirt Registered Installers. There are three modules to complete, and the company says each module is broken down into bite-sized chunks of easily digestible information.

Module one provides a product and component overview, explains the technical aspects of ThermaSkirt and gives the features and benefits for both the installer and their customers.

The second module is more hands-on. Installation Manager Carl Barrington (pictured) demonstrates the step-by-step process of how to install a wet ThermaSkirt system.

Finally, module three explains how to specify, design and quote for a system. It also introduces the online portal that is accessible to Registered Installers.  Installers can use the portal to add customers, provide professional-looking quotes using their own contact details and logos, as well as giving access to exclusive offers.

Once all three modules have been completed, installers are eligible to become a Registered Installer, and start using the ThermaSkirt trade-only online portal and all its benefits. They will also receive priority technical support by phone or WhatsApp.

To help grow their business even more, the next level is Accredited Installer. To qualify, installers can join the company for a training and assessment day, either at its training centre in Manchester or at one of its partners’ training facilities across the UK. On successful completion, the company will add their details to its ‘Find an Installer’ map on the DiscreteHeat website, so that potential customers – homeowners, specifiers and contractors – can find them.

Ethan Wadsworth, Director of Sales & Marketing, said: “Since opening up our Registered Installer programme last year we have been pleased and amazed by the huge number of heating engineers who have been interested and want to join – there’s obviously an appetite for an innovative heating offer for their customers.

“This online ‘Introduction to ThermaSkirt’ course is very accessible and explains how skirting board heating works and how it is installed. It’s a great way for interested installers to get a taste of all the benefits before signing up.”

ThermaSkirt is an infrared radiant heating system and is designed to look like a traditional skirting board. It can work with the existing heating system, whether that’s a gas boiler, heat pump or electric heating, and can be controlled just like conventional radiators, using existing thermostats and timers or smart controls.
