Bosch backs Tough Mudder 2016

Bosch Professional Power Tools is backing Tough Mudder UK for its 2016 series, and leading the company’s campaign will be Champion Charger – like the dogged, gritty Mudders tackling the events across the country, he doesn’t know when to stop.

Champion Charger heads up the 18-Volt cordless range of Bosch Professional Power Tools and will be appearing at every event in a number of different guises from obstacles to photo opportunities and maybe even a guest appearance. With the longest running and fastest charge of any cordless tools, the 18 Volt Professional range with its matchless charger is an ideal partner for the grueling series.

This year there are 10 Tough Mudder events across the U.K. and Ireland, each representing the ultimate test of camaraderie, teamwork, physical and mental toughness over a course of 16- 20 km and 20+ obstacles that participants must leap into, wriggle and squeeze through, clamber over and shin-up. Ice, electric shocks and of course copious amounts of mud, further ramp-up the level to which teams are tested.

Bosch first partnered with Tough Mudder last year and for 2016 its range of 18-Volt cordless Professional power tools will be used to erect the stamina-sapping and mentally taxing obstacles at each of the sites.

Steve Hillier is Marketing Director for Bosch Professional Power Tools: “Bosch Professional and Tough Mudder are a great fit, sharing a passion for teamwork and delivering beyond expectation. We’re especially looking forward to equipping the course builders with our cordless 18 Volt range; the team are under pressure to build the obstacles quickly so power and performance are essential but they’re in the middle of nowhere without access to an energy source and that’s where the power, durability and longevity of the battery and charger comes into its own.”

The 2016 Tough Mudder series begins with the London West event on April 30 and May 1st. Full calendar details are available at www.toughmudder.co.uk.
