Instantor has announced that its Press Systems now features its Leak Before Press (LBP) Technology into fittings as standard.
Instantor’s Leak Before Press feature has been designed to provide a visual alert for any fittings that have not been pressed. This allows installers to complete any outstanding presses before leaving site, avoiding the time and cost associated with attending call backs. In addition, unpressed fittings that have been overlooked can result in costly water damage, project delays and customer dissatisfaction.
Alan Hogan, Divisional Managing Director at Instantor comments: “We launched the Instantor Press System in 2015 and it has grown rapidly in popularity ever since. Our Leak Before Press Technology provides a smart, fail-safe feature and peace of mind on every job. In water-based applications, LBP fittings are designed to visibly leak under low pressure if they haven’t been pressed. This creates an immediate visual alert, allowing installers to identify and correct any missed fittings. It’s a simple yet highly effective way to catch small mistakes early and avoid major difficulties later.”
First introduced at InstallerSHOW 2025, a year later the Leak Before Press functionality is now provided, as standard, across Instantor Press fittings.
