Makita’s introduces new 18V Impact Wrench

Makita has expanded its portfolio of power tools with the new 1/2″ pin detent DTW1004 18V LXT Impact Wrench. Powered by a brushless motor it generates torque of 1300Nm and delivers up to 2400 impacts per minute, 2000 rpm no load speed and 1050Nm in general fastening torque.

A three-stage power selection feature allows users to tailor the RPM and fastening torque to suit the application.

The tool is compatible with M12-M30 standard bolts as well as M16-M24 high tensile bolts and is equipped with a robust ½” (12.7mm) square driving shank with pin detent for socket retention.

The electric brake function rapidly stops rotation which could lead to unintended over tightening, damage to fasteners and workplace accidents. Other features include a rubber joint system which increases the durability of the tool and battery terminals, twin LED job lights to illuminate work areas, and a durable hammer case.
