The ACO103 press tool from Novopress has been designed to help installers access confined areas while reducing user fatigue.
On today’s job sites, installers rely on tools that deliver consistent performance, ease of use and efficiency. Press technology is becoming an integral part of modern installation work, and manufacturers continue to refine their solutions to meet increasing demands.
The ACO103 press tool from Novopress, a pioneer of press technology since 1969, is one of the company’s best-selling devices. The company says that its compact and lightweight design makes it particularly suitable for confined spaces, where handling and manoeuvrability are key.
The ACO103 is designed for up to 40mm in multilayer and up to 35mm in metal pipe systems. The company says its ergonomic construction supports comfortable use over longer periods, helping to reduce fatigue.
In combination with Novopress Pivoting Rings, the ACO103 also enables applications in hard-to-reach areas, offering additional flexibility where conventional approaches may be limited.
Smart features
Alongside established solutions, digitalisation and smart features are becoming increasingly relevant. This development is reflected in the Novopress32 press tool, which has been recognised with the German Design Award in Gold.
With a pressing force of 32kN, the company says the tool is suitable for metal systems up to 54mm and, depending on the system, up to 108mm. It has been designed to handle more demanding applications while integrating digital functionality into everyday workflows. A robust display provides key information such as press status, battery level and maintenance indicators.
In addition, the NovoCheck app allows for direct interaction with the device. Users can adjust settings, access press curves and generate reports, supporting greater transparency and documentation on site.
Safer working
One notable feature is the LED light ring, equipped with 27 LEDs. The company says it provides strong illumination, improving visibility in low-light environments, and contributing to safer working conditions. The coloured light signal also indicates whether the correct pressing force has been achieved. Both intensity and duration can be customised via the app.
Other features include an integrated press force sensor which ensures consistent output while reducing wear. If maintenance becomes necessary, the device provides a clear indication. Security is addressed through locking functions, which can be activated either directly on the tool or via the app, helping to prevent unauthorised use.
A 180° rotatable head allows flexible positioning, while a second start button supports operation in confined installation situations. A number of personalisation options are included designed to further enhance usability.
