Fernox has launched a new range of air and dirt separators, vacuum degassers, side stream filters and additives, engineered for commercial HVAC applications.
Among them is the new CC1 Side Stream Filter Air & Dirt 90. Developed to provide high-performance magnetic and fine particulate filtration, air removal, and a chemical dosing unit, it is suitable for commercial closed-loop systems up to 90,000 litres. The stainless steel device utilises three different methods to remove contaminants. A powerful magnet captures magnetic debris, and an air vent removes air that would accelerate corrosion.
Its anti-microbial filter cartridges prevent bacterial contamination and capture non-magnetic debris, designed to ensure a robust approach to system protection.
Fernox also offers a range of micron sizes too – down to 0.5 microns depending upon the condition and needs of the system. The integrated 5.5L dosing pot allows chemicals to be introduced without shutting down the system.
The company says that a key advantage of the CC1 Side Stream Filter Air & Dirt 90 is that the system can remain in operation during servicing and maintenance, as the bypass it is installed on can be isolated while the captured debris is removed from the filter.
Also featuring in the range is the CF1 Magnetic Dirt Separator, designed to magnetically capture ferrous debris and hydraulically separate non-magnetic sludge. The range of devices also includes the CA1 Air Separator, a deaerator that continuously removes air and microbubbles from closed loop systems.
To remove dissolved and free gases from the system water there is also the CA1 Vacuum Degasser, a fully automatic solution that uses controlled vacuum conditions to release entrained gasses.
Rob Jacques Commercial Business Development Manager at Fernox said: “Based on six decades of experience, we have created an enhanced range of commercial products that work hand-in-hand to prevent and treat corrosion, contamination and aeration to ensure system longevity, reduced costs and minimal disruption to commercial building occupants. The Fernox combination of products, specialist knowledge, and an in-house, UK laboratory to aid with system diagnostics, means we are ideally positioned to help customers select the solution and approach that is appropriate for their site.”
