FLIR announces thermography training dates

FLIR ITC, has released forthcoming dates and venues for its Category 1 and 2 thermography courses for the UK and Ireland.

The course dates are as follows:

4^th – 7^th June 2018                           Category 1                 Lymm, Cheshire

25^th – 28^th June 2018                      Category 1                 Cardiff

2^nd – 6^th July 2018                            Category 2                 Kent

9^th – 12^th July 2018                          Category 1                 Kent

3^rd – 6^th September 2018                Category 1                 Maynooth, Ireland

3^rd – 6^th September 2018                Category 1                 Stockton-on-Tees

Category 1 students are said to learn the basics of infrared, how to operate the camera under different conditions as well as various scenarios.

Guidance will also be given on how to make judgements in the field and identify potential error sources.

For Category 1 certified thermographers wishing to broaden their knowledge of infrared physics, heat science, infrared measuring equipment and its application, the Category 2 thermography training course is said to be a comprehensive package.

It aims to provide guidance to Category 1 personnel in areas of equipment selection, techniques, technology limitations, data analysis, corrective actions and reporting.
