Carhartt launches women’s Steel Pants

Following the introduction of Carhartt’s men’s Steel Pants in 2025 the women’s version has now been launched. The company says the range has been carefully and specifically designed to fit women properly, allowing for easy movement but with the toughness and durability tradeswomen expect.

The Carhartt Women’s Steel Pants are made from a stretch ripstop fabric designed to be resistant to tears and abrasions, but flexible enough to give plenty of freedom to climb, crouch, bend and stretch. Cordura™ reinforcement is used in high-wear areas, helping the trousers stand up to tough site conditions without feeling heavy or constricting.

A Flex Cordura™ gusseted crotch allows for a greater range of movement and the Comfortflex waistband is included for a secure but adaptable fit.

These trousers have a number of pockets: reinforced front ledge pockets, a ruler pocket, a utility band and zippered hanging bag pocket. Kick panels allow for alterations and the Flex Cordura™ kneepad pockets, designed to meet EN 14404-4:2024 dimensions, have cleanout openings and are compatible with Carhartt Interoperable Kneepads 107552, which adapt to the shape of the knee and give lightweight Level 1 protection.
