A new range of safety boots has been launched by Overland Shoes: Bobcat Safety Footwear, developed under license from Doosan Bobcat, Inc (Bobcat).
The company says the range has been designed for tradespeople who spend hours on unforgiving surfaces and delivers protection without sacrificing comfort.
At the heart of the range is the proprietary Redbacks cushioning system – energy-returning Leaf-Spring Technology designed to help disperse pressure and reduce shock while maintaining balanced support across the length of the footbed.
“Comfort shouldn’t be a nice-to-have – it should be non-negotiable,” said Peter Lawson, Brand Manager at Overland Shoes. “Many jobs require prolonged standing, often on hard surfaces, putting installers at greater risk of plantar fasciitis and severe heel pain. That’s why we’ve incorporated Redbacks Leaf-Spring Technology, designed to stop pain before it starts. It’s a genuine game-changer for anyone who spends their working day on their feet.”
Five distinct outsole series are each named after iconic American industrial locations and engineered for specific trade applications. The company says the Delta series offers athletic-inspired trainers like the Knox (with FitLock speed lacing) and Rockford for indoor environments, while the Summit series provides hikers including the Rapid and Toledo for indoor/outdoor versatility. It says the Forge series delivers precision performance with ladder grip technology, the Keystone series offers heat-resistant protection for trades like welding and foundry work and the Bastion series provides maximum protection with heavy-duty boots for the most demanding applications.
The collection includes 14 styles across both men’s and women’s fits, with safety ratings from S3S to S7L. Most designs feature 100% metal-free construction, with composite safety toe caps and puncture-resistant midsoles. Selected models also include the FitLock quick-release system for fast, secure fastening.
