Knipex has expanded its slimline Cobra® ES line-up with two upgrades: a new 180mm version for tight spaces and the original, now updated, 250mm model with improved gripping capacity and jaw geometry. Both versions have long, narrow jaws to get into confined areas, making them suited for installation and assembly tasks where space is limited.
The company says the new Cobra® ES 180mm model brings all the core features of the Cobra family into a compact, easy-to-handle format, with slim jaws designed for good reach, while front gripping teeth, cross grooves and a three-point contact system are designed to give a reliable hold on round and flat materials alike.
This smaller version has 18 fine adjustment positions and a maximum gripping capacity of 32mm. There are also specially hardened teeth (approx. 61 HRC) while easy-to-grasp handles and an integrated pinch guard have been designed to make handling easier.
For anyone dealing with bigger components or more demanding tasks, the upgraded 250mm version has the same slim construction but with a more capable jaw setup it can be used ln larger fittings and pipework. The front gripping teeth have been improved and there are now 25 adjustment positions and a wider gripping capacity of up to 40mm.
Both sizes benefit from KNIPEX’s self-locking mechanism, designed to keep the tool secure on the workpiece without constant hand pressure. The push-button adjustment system allows for fast changes in grip width.
The company says that with these additions, the Cobra® ES range now covers an even wider range of everyday challenges in plumbing and HVAC.
