Following the recent launch of its AC-90 Bio multifunctional oil, we spoke with Michelle Ionn, Marketing Manager EMEA, CRC Industries, to discover the reasons behind the development of the new solution and its variety of uses.
Q. For what kind of applications would plumbers and heating engineers use a lubricating spray or multifunctional oil?
AC-90 Bio is a versatile solution designed to tackle various maintenance challenges. It effectively loosens stuck or rusty bolts on pipe connections, taps, and seized stopcocks. Additionally, AC-90 Bio enhances the performance and longevity of cutting equipment by protecting blades during pipe cutting. Its anti-corrosion properties safeguard metal surfaces exposed to moisture and condensation. Particularly beneficial for connecting rubber flanges to plastic pipes, AC-90 Bio significantly reduces time and effort in these tasks.
Q. Why has the company launched the new AC-90 Bio multifunctional oil?
AC-90 Bio is one of a number of products under the Green Force platform. We know that tradespeople need tools they can rely on, and that includes sprays. We also know that both the tradespeople and their customers are increasingly aware of reducing their environmental impact. AC-90 Bio was formulated to meet the same longstanding trusted performance of AC-90, but with a readily biodegradable formula (according to OECD 301B >60%) to help reduce environmental impact.
Q. What are the main attributes of AC-90 Bio?
AC-90 Bio is a true multifunctional oil, it displaces moisture, it lubricates, it penetrates and releases, and it protects against rust, as well as being a readily biodegradable formula. AC-90 Bio is also silicone-free, so can be used where surfaces may be treated afterwards.

Q. Do you have any tips so users can get the most out of AC-90 Bio?
As well as being a multifunctional oil, AC-90 Bio can also be used to clean and remove light rust from surfaces. It can be sprayed onto van door hinges to prevent and stop squeaks and will also protect your tools from dirt and corrosion while not in use.
