Panasonic Solo delivers heating and cooling without an outdoor unit

Part of the Panasonic Heating & Cooling Solutions RAC portfolio, Solo is an inverter-driven air conditioning solution that delivers both cooling and heating without the need for an outdoor unit.

Designed for applications where external condensers are impractical or restricted, the company says RAC Solo combines compact dimensions, flexible installation and modern aesthetics in a single all-in-one system.

A key feature of the unit is the fact that no outdoor unit required. The system exchanges air through two wall openings, eliminating the need for an external condenser. Additionally, the unit features DC Inverter technology which, the company says, ensures efficient operation and enhanced comfort while helping to reduce energy consumption.

RAC Solo features a full metal body and has a depth of 165mm. As a stand-alone unit it requires no refrigerant pipework connections during installation, simplifying setup and reducing installation time.

The unit can be installed either low on the wall or high at ceiling level, offering installers greater flexibility. An optional side-discharge installation kit enables airflow to be redirected sideways for corner or specialist installations.

The RAC Solo range is available in capacities from 1.7kW to 3.0kW, with models utilising R290 or R32 refrigerants.
