TUR100 insulation sets
To help improve performance and efficiency and prevent heat from escaping a system, Spirotech has introduced insulation sets for its brass filters. The insulation sets feature a jacket design to fit Spirotech’s domestic SpiroTrap particle and dirt separators; SpiroVent microbubble deaerators; and SpiroTop automatic air vents. Once fitted, they are said to require little maintenance and work autonomously to consistently retain heat within a system, saving energy and reducing operational costs. Due to the flexible design, the TUR100 insulation sets – designed for the SpiroTrap MB3, SpiroTrap MBC1 and SpiroVent RV2 – can be fitted on to both horizontal and vertical pipework. Made from expanded polypropene and featuring ABS shields, they are also compliant with fire protection classifications.

Envirogreen
Boilers from Firebird’s new Low NOx Envirogreen range are said to be flying off the shelves as installers realise the benefits they have to offer. Not only are the NOx emission levels reportedly lower than any other boiler on the market, but the Firebird by elco burner is also simple to commission, install and service using a single Allen Key. The plug and play burner, which requires only two settings for pump and air pressure, has been designed to make installation easier. To ensure efficiency is achieved by the burner, the CO2 level is factory-set at optimum 12.5%. It also features a digital control box, diagnostic system and multi-directional flue options for installer flexibility.

Robokit Compact Plus
Adding to its sealed system kit range, Altecnic has introduced the Robokit Compact Plus. The kit includes all the essential components for an expansion vessel installation in a compact unit. The kit comprises a low profile, rectangular expansion vessel, which is available in 8, 10 and 12l sizes, a safety relief valve with in-built pressure gauge and a WRAS approved filling loop with integral non return valve. The Robokit Compact Plus sealed system kit comes with an integral wall mounting bracket, and a five way for both left fit and right fit set ups.

Inta
Transparent push-fit connector
Promising to make a complex job quicker and easier, Inta has introduced a transparent push-fit connector for underfloor heating (UFH) manifolds. Part of Inta’s ‘PresBloc’ product range, the connector enables installers to be certain that it is properly in place and secure before it is switched on and pressure tested, avoiding leaks. Designed as a universal fitting, the connector can be used with any manifold – including polymer, stainless steel and brass. Inta has also introduced a range of low voltage actuators for UFH manifolds, for which the power consumption is just 1 Watt compared to the industry-standard of 1.5-2 Watt, meaning end users will benefit from lower energy bills.

MagnaClean Atom
Stating that space will no longer be an issue for installers providing heating system protection, Adey has launched its latest magnetic filter, the MagnaClean Atom. The Atom is a compact, space-saving filter, developed in conjunction with installers to provide effective magnetic filtration in the tightest of installation spaces. The filter showcases Adey’s magnetic filtration technology, including a slip socket which enables installation in just under two minutes. Chemical dosing can also be completed in 20 seconds using MC1+ and MC3+ Rapide.

Vitocal 200-A and Vitocal 222-A
Featuring noise-reduction technology, Viessmann has introduced two new air source heat pumps, the Vitocal 200-A and Vitocal 222-A. Both pumps are suitable for densely built-up areas such as terraced housing estates, and have high energy efficiency with low operating costs. With outputs of 2.3 to 11.8 kW, and with a reversible circuit within a single unit to enable switching between heating and cooling, the Vitocal 200-A and 222-A are identical, except that the 222-A has an integrated 220-litre domestic hot water cylinder. The cylinder has an inflow device to ensure good layering, allowing a high tap volume of up to 290 litres (at 40°C).
