
Zilmet has launched Cal, an AI assistant on its website designed to give installers instant access to technical and product information around the clock.
Installers have always been able to call the company directly and speak to an engineer who knows the products – and that hasn’t changed. The company says that ‘Cal’ adds convenience — the ability to get to datasheets, sizing guidance and product details immediately, at any time of day, without a search or a wait.
The company says Cal already has access to everything Zilmet knows about its products. What it is still learning is the language — the different ways that installers ask the same question. Consequently, Zilmet is actively encouraging installers to use it, put questions to it in their own words, and in doing so help shape a tool that gets more useful the more it is used.
Stuart Gizzi, MD of Zilmet, said: “The information has always been there — on the website, in the datasheets, on the end of the phone. Cal doesn’t change what we know, it changes how quickly and easily installers can get to it. The more people use it and ask it questions in different ways, the sharper it becomes. We’d encourage installers to give it a proper workout.”
