Stelrad CRM programme wins SAP Award

The Stelrad CRM programme has won the coveted Gold award for innovation as part of the SAP UK & Ireland Quality Awards.

The innovation category is for projects where companies have deployed SAP technologies in unique ways. As part of the awards process, Stelrad had to submit a fully detailed portfolio of documentation from the initial business case through to the benefits achieved as a result. It also included organisational re-designs, adherence to SAP standard’s, challenges faced and factors contributing to its success.

Stelrad’s Michael Johnson delivered an impressive presentation on behalf of the company and faced a rigorous ‘Questions & Answers’ session from four senior judges, with the winner from a number of short-listed companies being selected following the completion of all presentations.

For the Stelrad project, the judges were particularly impressed with the involvement from all levels of the business and the company’s adherence to implementing a SAP standard solution. In addition, Stelrad was challenged on how it was using the software to assist, direct and monitor the company’s Brand Specialist team. One of the key contributions to winning the award was that Stelrad was one of the first companies to do a full implementation of the latest Cloud-based SAP solution C4C.

“We were up against some very large, household named businesses in these awards and it was hugely satisfying to come away with the Gold award for innovation,” said Michael Johnson, Stelrad’s Commercial Business Analyst, Information Technology. “In fact, we were approached by a couple of the other shortlisted companies and quizzed on what we are doing that saw us beating them to this award! They were very impressed that we had managed to convince the judges that our implementation and knowledge had warranted the top award.”
