With winter now upon us, ensuring the efficient running of new and existing heating systems is part and parcel of an installer’s working day. As a supporter of Band of Builders, Resideo has teamed up with James Hargreaves Plumbing Depot so that qualifying purchases of its Honeywell Home products can be made to count even more by helping tradespeople in need too.
Running until 31st December, when installers spend £50 on products from across the Honeywell Home range – from heating controls to radiator thermostats – at any James Hargreaves Plumbing Depot branch nationwide, Resideo will donate £2 to the charity* – making it easy for installers to help support the amazing work carried out by the Band of Builders team.
As the £2 donation applies to each £50 spent in a single transaction, the more items bought, the more Resideo will donate.
Band of Builders is a national charity started with the purpose of helping members of the construction industry when they need it most, whether that’s through hands-on projects, advice and support, or just knowing people are out there to talk to when they need it most. An estimated two UK construction workers die by suicide every day and 90% of construction managers admit they have struggled with mental health; the need to break down the stigma and make sure tradespeople know they can reach out for support, is a very real one.
As part of a year-long relationship with Band of Builders, this latest activity follows hot on the heels of Resideo’s sponsorship of the charity’s ‘The Big Brew’ events, which kicked off its support in October and aimed to encourage tradespeople to reach out and talk, rather than suffering in silence.

“By pledging to donate £2 for every £50 spent on our Honeywell Home products, installers can rest assured they are helping fellow tradespeople simply by doing what they would normally do each day. The money raised in the run up to Christmas will be used to further the numerous projects the charity currently has underway; each one making a real difference to a tradesperson’s life whether it is simply offering someone to talk to or is part of a larger project.
