Electric Heating Company (EHC) is delighted to have won the Lanarkshire Business Excellence in Innovation Award for the second year in a row.
The EHC Solar PV Ready Electric Radiator system makes use of an intelligent controller to ensure that energy is diverted to either the company’s hot water cylinder or ceramic radiators when the occupant is not using any of the energy being generated by the PV panels.
This system is said to provide a background heat during daylight hours until the main central heating system is required. EHC is undertaking trials to understand how much money this system can save an occupant on their energy costs and prove it makes the occupied space a more comfortable place to live. Furthermore, for those occupants who are fuel poor it hopes the trials show the system provides additional heat to their home they otherwise would not have had.
The EHC Solar PV Ready Electric Radiators are the latest addition to the manufacturer’s range of EHC DSR Electric Radiators. The DSR Electric Radiators look like, heat up and operate like conventional ‘wet’ system radiators.
