Ariston has expanded its heat pump offering with the launch of the new Nimbus 5 R290 range. The company says it has been designed to deliver greater installation flexibility, smarter connectivity and easier maintenance for heating professionals.
According to the company the new range has been developed to suit a variety of installation requirements, offering a choice of streamlined all-in-one systems, flexible configurations with a separate domestic hot water (DHW) cylinder, and compact solutions for installations where space is limited.
The range comprises three outdoor unit sizes with five different outputs ranging from 3kW-15kW, alongside four indoor unit options. Indoor and outdoor units are available as convenient pre-configured bundles.
When domestic hot water is required, the pre-plumbed cylinder option features factory-integrated pipework and connections, while built-in Wi-Fi, 4G and LAN connectivity ensures control.
The system can manage up to two heating zones.
Slimline 150L and 180L cylinder options are also available where space is limited, alongside a standard 210L cylinder option.
The redesigned outdoor units feature rounded edges and a contemporary aesthetic.
Designed for reliable operation in ambient temperatures as low as -25°C, the range utilises the refrigerant properties of R290 to achieve water temperatures up to 75°C.

They need to be straightforward to specify, practical to install and backed by the training and technical support installers need.
“Our new Nimbus 5 R290 range has been developed with those requirements in mind. By expanding the choice available to installers and simplifying more of the installation and maintenance process, we want to make it easier for heating professionals to confidently offer heat pumps to more customers.”
Additional features include an integrated anti-freeze system, drain pan, cone filter and Y strainer water filter kit as standard.
Every Nimbus 5 system includes the Sensys NET HD interface and remote management functionality through the Ariston NET app. The range is also equipped with the new Energy Manager 3.0 system. This enables integration with boilers, photovoltaic (PV) systems, solar thermal installations, storage tanks and a wide variety of heat emitters.
The Nimbus 5 range is backed by warranties of up to 10 years and is A+++ Energy rated.
