RIDGID’s Anca Jitea, Pipe Tools & Underground Manager, Europe, provides an overview of its K9-12 FlexShaft Drain Cleaning Machine, designed to clean drains at speed.
The K9-12 FlexShaft® Drain Cleaning Machine is the latest in a complete line of RIDGID FlexShafts designed to provide wall-to-wall pipe cleaning power at speed. The K9-12 is the smallest of the machines in the range and suited for residential use, eliminating the need to repeatedly unclog the same household drain lines.
Clearing up to 9m of 1 ¼” to 2” (32 – 50 mm) pipe, the K9-12 breaks up grease, hair and other soft blockages, making it suited to kitchen and bath sinks, as well as tubs and shower drains.
Chain knocker
Powered by an 1800 to 2500 RPM cordless drill, the machine’s chain knocker expands inside the pipe to clear the blockage and restore the pipe to full flow. A flexible, protective sheath encapsulates the 9m cable, keeping it fully enclosed for less mess and faster clean up. A built-in clutch design also extends cable life.
It weighs 3.8 kg and is compatible with all 6mm cable FlexShaft accessories. The unit comes with a 1.5” single plain chain knocker. FlexShaft machines are backed by the RIDGID Full Lifetime Warranty.
