Cut pipes with precision

Precision is crucial when cutting pipes. The standard TubiX®, from Knipex, is designed for everyday jobs, cutting pipes from six to 35mm in diameter with wall thicknesses up to 2mm. It has a 180mm frame and comes with a concealed, removable deburring tool for neat finishes. The company says it cuts through gas and water pipes in copper, brass and stainless steel, and for electrical jobs it cuts through rigid steel conduits and even strips steel wire armoured cables. There is also a spare cutting wheel stored in the handle.

The QuickLock system has been designed to allow users to adjust the cutter with just one hand by placing the open TubiX® onto the pipe then positioning and locking the cutting wheel on the workpiece. High-grade needle bearings are included to create a smooth, low-resistance rotation.

The TubiX® XL extends those capabilities up to 76mm, suitable for larger systems and commercial-scale work. It maintains the same ergonomic design and quick, tool-free wheel replacement.

For awkward corners and confined spaces, the TubiX® S is the smallest in the family. At 77mm long, it’s easy to carry in a pocket but has been designed to handles stainless steel pipes from three to 30mm. It has a small cutting circle to allow it to rotate freely in tight spots. The company says the shape-optimised turning knob provides about 20% more torque and prevents slipping. As with the rest of the range, a spare wheel is stored onboard.
