Worcester Bosch has renewed its sponsorship of Tŷ Gwyrddfai, a decarbonisation hub based in Penygroes, north Wales.
Tŷ Gwyrddfai, a collaboration between Adra, Busnes@LlandrilloMenai and Bangor University, serves as a centre for training, innovation, and community engagement, helping to upskill the local workforce and support the decarbonisation of homes across north-west Wales.
The company says its continued involvement will further enable the delivery of renewable heating training and awareness programmes.
It provides equipment, including heat pump and hybrid systems, to the hub and says it will also continue to send its trainers down to the hub regularly to provide local installers and apprentices first-hand experience and training on the company’s products.
“We’re delighted that Worcester Bosch is continuing its support for Tŷ Gwyrddfai,” said Rhys Roberts, Business and Development Manager at Tŷ Gwyrddfai. “This partnership is more than just a sponsorship—it’s a shared vision for a greener future. Worcester Bosch’s expertise and commitment to innovation are helping us create a lasting impact in our communities, and we’re excited to build on this momentum together.”
Darren Danks, Head of Training and Qualification at Worcester Bosch, said “Our renewed partnership with Tŷ Gwyrddfai is part of our ongoing commitment to support the UK’s move to net zero. Providing education and upskilling opportunities for installers around alternative heating technology is essential for the electrification of home heating—which is why projects such as Tŷ Gwyrddfai are so important. We’re proud to remain involved.”
