Trianco’s new Activair R290 is an indoor air/water heat pump which the company says has been designed for locations where an outdoor unit is unfeasible; examples it provides are apartments without balconies or those with limited outside space.
Developed to supply both heating and hot water, when fitted with a domestic hot water cylinder, the Activair R290 is available as a wall mounted 3.2kW unit or a floor standing 5kW unit.
The company says it is “Ideal for small to medium-sized homes, the Activair indoor heat pump is a compact, complete indoor solution with all the functionality of an outdoor unit.”

The company says optimised air duct design ensures smooth airflow to reduce energy loss during operation and improve overall efficiency. It continues, ultra-quiet operation is ensured as the compressor is fully enclosed with composite silencing material, effectively reducing vibration and noise to deliver a quieter, more comfortable indoor experience.
