Spirotech launches SpiroPure solution for deminieralised water

Spirotech has expanded its range of solutions with the introduction of SpiroPure for demineralised water in heating systems.

SpiroPure conditions the water of heating or cooling systems, removing unwanted substances such as calcium and magnesium ions as well as salts. This, the company says, is achieved thanks to the resin beads, found at the heart of the SpiroPure solution.

Spirotech says the resins comprise of positively and negatively charged beads, which attract the unwanted positive and negative ions in the water, and exchange them with useful and safe ions. The resin beads will change colour over time as they become depleted and replacement resin beads are available.

Rob Jacques, UK Business Unit Director, said: “We’re excited to introduce the new SpiroPure solution for demineralised water here in the UK. As pressure mounts to make heating and cooling systems as efficient as possible, the practice of treating water for the system is becoming more widely adopted, especially given its inclusion and success across other parts of Europe as part of the VDI 2035 standard.”

SpiroPure is available for both domestic and commercial systems. The Home series for residential properties consists of the Home Fill Basic, Home Fill Basic +, Home Fill XL, Home Fill XL + and Home Fill Duplex + for larger homes, all of which are fixed filling solutions. The Plus (+) units feature a combination valve and also incorporate a pressure reducing valve. Meanwhile, the Pro series for commercial and light-commercial buildings is available in 9.5L and 23L sizes, in both fixed and mobile filling options.
