Protective jaw covers for Pliers Wrench
Pliers specialist Knipex has introduced Protective Jaw Covers for its Optimised Pliers Wrench tool. The covers help installers use the Pliers Wrench on designer fittings, and other sensitive materials, thanks to the soft, smooth gripping surface they provide. Made of plastic, the covers are easy to attach by hand, with fixing on the jaws by means of an internal latching hook. The set consists of three pairs of protective jaws. The Protective Covers also allow the pliers to be used on chrome, should the jaws of the pliers wrench have been damaged due to improper or rough use.

‘Know How’ app
UK-based ventilation manufacturer and supplier, National Ventilation, has launched a ‘Know How’ app which offers quick and easy access to the latest versions of the company’s brochures, datasheets and technical documents. National Ventilation’s free design service is also bookable via the ‘About Know How’ section of the app, which gives an overview of the breadth of products available. Usefully, Know How updates each time users visit the app so they can be sure that they are always looking at the latest product information. This means that unlike printed material, such as brochures, Know How will not go out of date.

Abrasive range expansion
TIMco has expanded its selection of abrasive products to now include a wide variety of abrasive rolls, sheets, pads, discs and belts. The ADDAX abrasives range has been designed to meet the high demands of professional users and features tear and crack resistant backing paper, heat resistant resin adhesive and premium quality abrasive grit. The range includes sandpaper rolls in a wide-variety of grit and in three colours, yellow, green and red, to reflect the thickness of the backing paper – lightweight, premium and heavy duty – suitable for different uses. The new-look packaging has also been specifically designed to provide clearer information as well as highlight product features, benefits and applications.

Bosch Professional has expanded its 18V System to improve tool compatibility and provide more flexible choices. Amongst the newest additions is the GBH 18V-26D Professional Rotary Hammer with SDS Plus. This universal D handle model, for vertical drilling and chiselling applications, has a high specification including a brushless motor that delivers 25 J of impact energy. Another newcomer is the GSB 18V-55 Professional Combi Drill which offers a metal chuck and a brushless motor with speeds up to 1,800 rpm and torque up to 55 Nm. Product categories covered by the Bosch Professional 18V System include combis, drill drivers, impact drivers, small saws and multi-cutters as well as dust extractors, work lights, and measuring devices.

Silfix sealants
Hodgson Sealants has expanded its Silfix range with the launch of U7, to go alongside the newly promoted U8 and highly popular U9 sealant. Silfix U7 is a sanitary, high modulus, acetoxy cure silicone sealant and adhesive which is anti-fungal – so it is ideal for sealing around baths, shower trays, basins and for other bathroom and kitchen applications. It’s available in a 310ml cartridge in white and translucent options. This sealant and adhesive has been produced in a stiffer, more viscous formulation to offer good tooling and application characteristics. It also provides adhesion to a wide variety of non-porous substrates including glass, ceramics, aluminium and painted timber.

The Regency profile has been designed to replace the company’s Classic rainwater system. A contoured gutter system, Regency is available in four colour options, including anthracite grey.
The profile features pivot clippings, which make the unit easier to fit, plus it also includes multi-position unifit outlets, meaning it can be fixed anywhere, including on angles. This increased functionality not only reduces the risk of overflow but also helps makes the process of aligning the pipe easier.
