Stelrad reports large amounts of interest in electric option

The latest electric radiator series launched in the UK and Ireland by radiator manufacturer Stelrad, has sparked significant interest in the heating sector, the company reports. It is the first time the Stelrad brand has ventured into the electric marketplace, and the new range is currently made up of 13 steel and aluminium radiators and towel radiators.

“We’ve been delighted with the levels of interest the new range has sparked in the UK and Ireland,” said Head of Marketing Chris Harvey. “There is clearly a significant marketplace for ‘all electric’ heating in homes, despite the domination of gas boiler fired heating systems, and we’ve seen major interest from people adding extensions or conservatories to their homes, where they see the advantages of an electric radiator, rather than extending their existing heating system which comes with the possibility of having to replace their boiler to cope with the additional heating requirements. Our pre-launch research suggested there was a market out there, but we’ve been surprised at how extensive the potential demand has been.”

The new range includes a number of new products – like the Stelrad Electric Column design – a rounded vertical tube column radiator available in three sizes in both white or anthracite grey. The E-Flow towel rails in the range feature a fan heater at the base of the towel rail and include manual controls for individual use of the towel rail or the fan heater, or both together as a 3 in 1 unit.
