MHS radiators chosen for historic Gainsborough Bath Spa

An impressive selection of 30 Multisec, 20 Kompakt Plan and four Ecoguard LST radiators from MHS Radiators has been installed at the luxurious Gainsborough Bath Spa Hotel. The radiators were specified as part of an extensive design and build project at the historic Grade II listed Victorian building.

The project began in February 2013 and saw a new tower built on the front of the venue, as well as an extensive refurbishment of some of the existing premises. The work was completed in May 2015, under the supervision of Nottingham-based contractors, Finning UK & Ireland Ltd.

Commenting on the installation, Ben Barton, Contracts Engineer at Finning Contracting, explained: “The project was put out to tender and MHS Radiators easily offered the most attractive package, both in terms of the range of radiator styles available and being competitively priced. Having worked with the company on previous jobs, we knew that we’d be getting high quality radiators and excellent levels of support.”

The Multisec radiators were used in the public areas of the Hotel, such as the lobby, lounges and corridors, while the Kompakt Plan models were installed back of house, in spaces including the kitchens and staff breakout rooms. The Ecoguard LST radiators were then fitted in the washrooms and changing areas.

Ben Barton continued: “The Multisec column radiators were chosen as they kept with the style of the existing décor of the Victorian building, which was an essential requirement for the Hotel’s owners. Elsewhere, the Kompakt and Ecoguard LSTs provided both practical and economical means of heating the non-public areas of the venue. The selection of products fitted certainly showed the breadth and depth of MHS Radiators’ extensive portfolio.”

Multisec column radiators can be supplied fully assembled in up to 40 sections, making it straightforward and affordable to replace old radiators, as well as add style to any room. Supplied from stock in an eye-catching white RAL 9016 powder-coated finish, with over 70 other specialist colours available to order, these radiators are equally suitable for period or contemporary interiors.

The Kompakt Plan radiator is manufactured from 1.15mm steel and is supplied in a powder-coated RAL 9016 Traffic White finish. This radiator has a maximum working pressure of 10 bar and carries a 10-year guarantee against manufacturing defects.

Finally, the Ecoguard LST radiator cover is a cost effective heating accessory for environments that require a consideration to safety and care. Compatible with the Kompakt range of radiators, the Ecoguard LST cover is made from 1.2mm steel and powder-coated in RAL 9016 with an antibacterial finish and 5-year guarantee as standard.

MHS Radiators’ products are available through most plumbing, heating and builders’ merchants throughout the UK.
