Charity recoginition for Dimplex’s ‘outstanding’ fundraiser

A long-standing employee at Dimplex has been recognised for her charity fundraising efforts, after raising an incredible £75,000 over ten years for a local children’s hospice.

Dawn Smith, who works for the credit control team, was named as an Outstanding Charity Champion at the Naomi House 2015 Corporate Charity Awards event.

Naomi House is a children’s hospice located in Hampshire that provides care for life-limited and life-threatened children, young people and their families. Over the last decade, Dawn has dedicated her time and effort to raising as much money as possible through a series of fundraising initiatives within the business.

She was recognised at the event, which was attended by over 300 corporate businesses ranging from small firms to large household names including B&Q, Vodafone Bayer, Persimmon homes, AXA and many more.

Stuart MacKenzie, Chairman of the GDC Group which includes the Dimplex, Creda, Valor, Robinson Willey and Faber brands, said: “Dawn’s efforts have been nothing short of inspirational and we were delighted that she has been recognised in this way.”
