FRÄNKISCHE launches profi-air classic carbo-line MVHR semi-rigid duct

The new profi-air classic carbo-line from FRÄNKISCHE is the latest addition to the company’s established profi-air system for mechanical ventilation heat recovery ventilation (MVHR).

The ducts are the channels that allow the MVHR ventilation system to distribute and extract air throughout a building.

The outer surface of the new ventilation pipes is manufactured from a PE-based material made using recycled bottle caps. To meet EU post-consumer recyclate (PCR) standards, the material is produced using 100% recycled consumer waste, with no production waste included.

Matt Densham, Divisional Director – Building Services for FRÄNKISCHE UK, commented: “This product is a welcome addition to our product portfolio and, compared to the profi-air classic grey pipes made of PE virgin materials, it provides CO2 savings of up to 59% per running metre.

“The profi-air classic carbo-line is genuinely odourless despite the PCR content and is EPD-certified. This certification authenticates the CO2 savings and confirms the new ventilation pipes are eco-balanced components with Type III ecolabel.”

The company says the product offers the same technical parameters and benefits as the profi-air classic grey pipe.

Matt Densham added: “The profi-air classic carbo-line semi-rigid duct is designed specifically for ventilation installations and ticks all the right boxes from its eco-friendly credentials through to a high-performance specification, which is backed-up by the all-important EPD accreditation.”
