In response to the growing demand for renewable energy solutions, Stiebel Eltron UK has announced the launch of a tailored Heat Pump Workshop designed for gas installers.
The first in-person course will be held on 16 and 17th August 2024 at the company’s head office in Bromborough, with webinar versions available for those who are unable to travel.
The company says the program includes myth-busting segments that debunk common misconceptions about heat pumps, ensuring installers are well-equipped with factual, up-to-date knowledge.
Teh program has been designed to address the needs of gas installers, offering practical insights and hands-on training that will enable them to install and maintain heat pump systems.
During the workshop, trainees will look at the difference between a gas boiler and a heat pump system, following hydraulic and electrical diagrams, and installation methods, as well as correctly sizing a heat pump for the property and why this is important.
The course is also designed to provide trainee installers with knowledge to service and repair heat pumps, including how to commission a heat pump.
Additionally, it will also provide an overview on the difference between air source and ground source heat pumps and how pre-plumbed cylinders can decrease installation time.
