CT1 partners with Band of Builders
CT1 has become a corporate partner of Band of Builders, supporting the charity in its quest to help tradespeople battling illness or injury, making a life-changing difference to them and their families.
The company, which manufactures CT1 sealant and adhesive at its UK facility in Beverley, in the East Riding of Yorkshire, has seen first-hand the work that Band of Builders does on projects right across the UK and wanted to throw its support behind the charity, which has just completed its 28th project – and has plenty more in the pipeline for the coming year.
CT1’s Director of Sales and Marketing, Nicola Walsh, said: “We are passionate about making a best-of-British product that helps British tradespeople – and we are equally committed to supporting a range of UK projects and charities at a local level.
“But the time has come for our business to take our support to the next stage and Band of Builders embodies everything that’s amazing about the UK construction industry.”
“The charity is very close to our hearts, and we want to use our voice in the industry to bring attention to the stories and plight of tradespeople who have found themselves in life-changing circumstances and need help.
“Tradespeople are often forgotten, being self-employed. They encounter daily struggles and often risk their health and lives attending to certain jobs. Those of us working in or supplying the building industry should try to help our fellow tradespeople in any way we can. We salute you BoB and are proud to be part of a growing movement in the construction industry that is a force for good.”
The charity has just completed its 28th project for a former bricklayer near Brighton, who was left with a profound physical disability after suffering hypoxic brain damage brought on by a heart attack. Nearly 50 volunteers from as afield as Northern Ireland worked on the eight-day project to extend and make the driveway wheelchair friendly.
The charity’s CEO, Gavin Crane, offered a warm welcome to CT1 as one of a growing number of corporate supporters that have become part of BoB’s community. “We only exist because of the support and commitment of the 50,000 plus supporters of our charity, who volunteer, raise much-needed funds and represent us at events, as well as engage in a host of other activities that enable BoB to deliver projects,” said Gavin.
“And there’s the corporate support from businesses and organisations right across the construction industry, which are so, so generous in the help they provide – and we are proud to welcome the team at CT1 into our community.
