Dickies has joined forces with the R.A.F Rescue Unit – a motorsport rescue charity – by donating clothing essential for the charity’s work.
Licenced by the Motorsport Association of Great Britain, the unpaid crew are medical and fire worker volunteers. The unit carries a comprehensive amount of medical equipment, together with tools specifically designed to assist in removing a trapped driver from his vehicle.
The R.A.F Rescue Unit recently came back from the world rally Wales where they had a successful event, thanks to the high visibility coveralls donated by Dickies, which kept them warm and dry, and worked well in the rescue environment.
This high quality safety overall offers both hi visibility and waterproof qualities at an intermediate level of protection. The overalls are lined and quilted, for additional warmth and feature storm flaps to cover zipped areas on both the outer leg seams and the two-way main zip.
Dave Lalley, one of the R.A.F Rescue crew volunteers said: “Having the right equipment is essential to carry out the rescues, but we also need hard-wearing clothing which is practical for our work. We cover the drivers and Dickies cover us, literally. We are extremely grateful to Dickies for supporting us, by supplying the high quality coveralls and enabling us to stay warm and dry while we worked.”
