The Installation Assurance Authority, a UK’s standards and representative body in the Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy sector, has announced an expansion into the Australian market.
Nigel Donohue, CEO of The IAA in the UK said: “We are delighted to be working with The Insulation Academy in Australia and sharing the best practice from The Installation Assurance Authority’s endto-end consumer protection and quality and compliance approach, here in the UK. It is testament to the uniqueness of our approach and our “Right First Time” ethos that TIA have chosen to mirror our processes and systems and launch The Insulation Installation Assurance Authority, to help bring greater confidence and consumer protection into the Australian market.”
He continued: “We see this as not only a very positive endorsement of our own approach but a positive opportunity to learn from and share with our international partners as we each strive to deliver Net Zero and reduce the carbon emissions of our respective housing and commercial building stock.”
Peter Ball, Chair of Insulation Installation Assurance Authority, Australia said: “In Australia, 40% of power consumed in homes is for heating and cooling, producing over 10% of the country’s total emissions—a significant opportunity for reduction. Our intention is to contribute to positive government policy development, to include rigorous and comprehensive quality assurance procedures, mirroring the UK’s rigorous standards in order to improve the energy efficiency of Australian homes. The agreement with IAA UK is fundamental to our success as we forge a brighter, more sustainable future for Australia.”
