Navigator has received NSF REG4 accreditation for its new Serpent flexible connector. The certificate was presented during The Installer Show at the NEC at the end of June. Luke Yates from NSF presented the certificate and a plaque to Navigator’s John Byrne.
The Serpent is a new way to make flexible connections – particularly if you’re working in a restricted, confined space – like under a sink where there are several other pipes and fittings. It has no inner liner to rupture or block, and the company says that even when the hose is bent to an acute angle, the full bore is maintained.
The pressure rating and flexibility of the product has been tested for leakage and pressure to BS EN ISO 1086:2023 which specifies a maximum test pressure of 31.5 BAR and a leak test of 1.5 times that pressure. It is NSF Regulation-4 approved for use with potable water and uses only WRAS approved materials.
“We’re more than delighted to get the NSF Reg-4 for this excellent product,” says Navigator’s Roger Evans. “Interest in the Serpent has been phenomenal already, so we’re looking to see this transform into a major success story for Navigator.”
