To celebrate International Women’s Day, the annual Women Installers Together event from Stopcocks Group Limited has announced that new event partner Williams Trade Only Plumbing and Heating Supplies has secured speaker Mandy Hickson for the WIT event this July 6th.
“Mandy’s story is, quite literally, breath-taking. She was one of the first women fast jet fighter pilots, and as I listened to her I realised I had actually stopped breathing,” says Hattie Hasan MBE, CEO of Stopcocks Group Limited.
Ray Stafford, MD of Williams, says: “We are excited to be supporting the WIT event in July. Williams recognise the invaluable work that Hattie Hasan MBE and the team at Stopcocks are doing to raise the profile of the plumbing industry as a desirable career path for women, increasing the numbers of women plumbers and heating engineers and improving conditions for tradeswomen and the industry as a whole. We have been supporters of the event since 2017 and are delighted we can take that relationship to the next level.”
Returning to a full day, independent event in Central London, WIT will be in a bigger venue thanks to long-standing partner Monument Tools Ltd and will, as always, provide delegates with a free lunch.
Jamie Fisher, Sales Director for Monument, says: “Monument Tools are once again delighted to be taking key role in the sponsorship of the 2022 Women Installers Together event. We have sponsored this event now for many years and will continue to do so, as this is the only event run by women in trades for women in the plumbing and heating industry.”
The event will bring its usual roundtables (where delegates will discuss relevant industry topics), Famous For Five Minutes – with delegates telling their stories – and plenty of networking with other tradeswomen and sponsors.
As usual, event founder Hattie Hasan MBE will guide attendees through the day and update everyone on changes in the industry as MC.
Tickets are free for all tradeswomen and sponsors. Get yours at wit-event2022.eventbrite.co.uk
