Industry talent to be recognised in new ECA initiative

A new industry-wide initiative – named Power Players – which will recognise some of the most talented individuals within building services engineering, has been announced by the Electrical Contractors’ Association (ECA).

Power Players is aimed at those in the younger generation who have already made a positive impact in their respective organisations. To enter the initiative, individuals will simply need to send in a short video – highlighting innovative or impactful contributions to date. Significantly, the entire initiative will be digital, with no need to complete lengthy forms or attend interviews in person.

In addition to recognition and publicity, there will be an array of prizes and opportunities on offer to the top entries, worth thousands of pounds. The initiative will be run alongside key industry partners, to be announced in due course.

ECA CEO Steve Bratt commented: “I am delighted to announce the arrival of Power Players 2017, which aims to showcase some of the most talented individuals from across the building engineering services.

“With recognition and some great prizes on offer, we look forward to seeing already successful younger individuals participating in the initiative next year.”

  • Clients and specifiers (e.g. facilities managers, local authorities, housing associations, property developers etc.)
  • Consultants and designers
