Stewart Clements, Director of the Heating and Hotwater Industry Council (HHIC), has welcomed the appointment of Miatta Fahnbulleh MP as Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero.
Commenting on the appointment, Stewart Clements said: “On behalf of the Heating and Hotwater Industry Council (HHIC), I would like to congratulate Miatta Fahnbulleh on her appointment as Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero.
“This is a pivotal time for the UK’s energy and heating sector. Delivering decarbonisation while also ensuring consumers have access to affordable, reliable and efficient heating solutions will require close collaboration between government and industry.
“HHIC looks forward to working constructively with the Secretary of State and her team to help shape practical, evidence-based policies that support consumers, improve energy efficiency and accelerate the transition to low-carbon heating. By working together, we can ensure policy decisions are both ambitious and deliverable, providing confidence for manufacturers, installers and homeowners alike.
“We wish Miatta every success in her new role and look forward to supporting the government’s ambitions to deliver secure, sustainable and affordable energy for the UK, both now and as we work towards net zero.”
