Uponor launches Siccus Mini underfloor heating system

Uponor has launched the Siccus Mini underfloor heating system – suited for refurbishment projects due to its low-construction height of 15mm. The company says that its ultra-thin, close to floor design allows the Siccus Mini system to deliver 90% of the desired temperature in just 50 minutes.

The system can be undertaken by one trade professional and installed on top of an existing floor. The new top surface can then be laid immediately without having to factor in any screed drying times.

“Traditionally, opting for underfloor heating within an existing property is a real headache,” said James Griffiths, Senior Manager Marketing North-West Europe at Uponor. “It can be a dirty, time-consuming job for the installer, and it changes the floor’s construction height, which impacts the height of the windows, doorways and other fixtures in the room, which all have to be addressed. The Siccus Mini overcomes all of these challenges. It provides a high performance, low energy system that is straightforward to install and future proofs installations switching to heat pumps or hybrid heating systems in the future.”

The new Siccus Mini underfloor heating system is suitable for a number of flooring types including laminate, parquet, natural stone, tiles, vinyl and carpet.
