Stelrad | Heavy Duty Deco radiator

Stelrad Radiators has announced the addition of the Heavy Duty Deco radiator to its Heavy Duty radiator family. It joins the Heavy Duty Planar, which was launched two years ago. This new addition is a response to customer demand and will provide additional choice to the commercial marketplace providing a designer option, as the fascia of the Deco feature’s attractive horizontal lines.

This robust version of the Deco design comes with a 3.2mm combined thickness tough outer steel fascia to provide additional protection where the radiator is used in an environment where contact is likely and there is a need to take knocks in its stride. It’s designed to be a high-end specification product built to withstand high impact, yet it retains its high heat output whilst remaining price competitive. For installers, piping connections are exactly the same as the Stelrad Compact radiator. In addition, the product and packaging are both recyclable.

The new range consists of radiators in two heights, 450 and 600mm, and in K1 and K2 formats – all available in lengths between 400 and 2000mm – a total of 36 radiators to add to the already comprehensive selection Stelrad offers. Heat outputs at 50Δt range from 915 Btu/h up to 10,928 Btu/h for the largest model in the range.

“This is an exciting addition to the Heavy Duty range and we’re anticipating a similar level of success to that we’ve achieved with the Heavy Duty Planar,” says Stelrad’s Head of Marketing Chris Harvey. “There is a real market out there for more robust radiators that can withstand bumps and bruises! The first Heavy Duty option we supplied was to meet the demanding environment of a mail sorting office with its trolleys and trailers, but since then we have seen these radiators specified for public buildings, schools, hospitals, care homes and a wide range of industrial premises – proving that there’s a place for radiators in most working environments.”
