UK Plumber of the Year Drew Styles has revealed that he’s quitting the boiler game to become a full time model.
Following successful photoshoots for a number of heating industry manufacturers, Drew was alrea
dy considering his options when the opportunity arose to be the cover model for PHPI’s April issue – a chance he felt he couldn’t afford to turn down. Drew says: “I love fitting boilers but I’m the wrong side of 30 now and I might not have much time to pursue a modelling career before my stunning good looks start to fade. Besides, I’m kind of a big deal so this is natural step for me.”
The PHPI cover will be Drew’s last project as an amateur model. He’s signed up with Manchester agency Día De Los Inocentes and hopes to make his London Fashion Week debut in September.
“I’ll miss all my friends in the industry,” Drew says, “but I’ll probably have forgotten about them by Christmas.”
