Worcester Bosch has announced the relaunch of its consumer sustainability campaign, Green Heating Heroes, with the aim of helping consumers think greener when it comes to their home heating in order to help save on bills and reduce their carbon footprint.
As part of this, the company is looking to recruit installers across the UK to sign up to become Green Heating Heroes. With over 1,000 installers already part of the campaign, any who enlist will be part of a UK wide ensemble of installers committed to providing support and advice to those customers who are looking for sustainable ways to heat their homes.
According to research by the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) only 52% of consumers are aware of renewable heating systems, and so there is a need to highlight and educate around low carbon alternatives. The campaign relaunch hopes to produce the right tools and resource for installers – those who speak directly to homeowners on a regular basis – to help with that education.
Each installer who signs up will receive a Green Hero t-shirt, van sticker and campaign social content to promote their green credentials to their customers. They’ll also receive new guidance in the form of a toolkit full of helpful facts and information they can provide customers who are considering a switch to greener home heating, as well as additional energy saving tips.
Richard Lloyd from RL Heating & Plumbing Ltd has been a Green Heating Hero since it first launched last year. When asked why he first signed up, he commented; “I think it is really important for us to show our dedication to the future of heating for our customers.
“If we know about the upcoming changes, we can pass this onto them, and know they are going to get the right information as well.”
Lluis Dalmau of LCD Heating Services added; “We want to give our customers the best advice possible to help them make choices and take away the fear that some have at the moment on what’s best for them and their families.”
The digital campaign will run through to November, providing over 50 million opportunities for UK adults to see the campaign and drive installer interactions, meaning that for installers who do sign up, there is also opportunity for new business leads, as well as being able to show existing customers that they are committed to a greener future.
