Taking place on Thursday 4th July at The Building Centre in London, the third Women Installers Together is supported by longstanding partners Stopcocks Women Plumbers and Polypipe Building Products, along with second and third time sponsors Monument Tools, Graham The Plumbers’ Merchant, Vaillant, Fernox, Impey, Calor and Base Boots – who are joined by new sponsors British Gas/Centrica and Thomas Dudley.
Stopcocks founder Hattie Hasan says: “We’re stopcock-a-hoop that so many well established companies and the industry media are working with us to make this initiative such a huge success.
“We believe that, with the average age of plumbers and heating engineers in this country being 57-58, it’s time to welcome women – but also, by increasing openness and diversity, we will overcome the massive skills gap that’s heading our way and improve our mental health record. These are important issues for all of us.”
The day features speakers Maggie Alphonsi MBE, the face of international women’s rugby and the first female pundit in men’s sport, and Hattie Hasan herself. There will also be round tables where delegates can speak directly to the industry press (including PHPI); networking opportunities with other women heating engineers, plumbers and trainees; the return of the popular Five Minutes of Fame, in which delegates can grab the mic; some amazing raffle prizes; and a free lunch.
The conference is now officially sold out and the organisers are requesting that anyone with a ticket who can’t make it let them know so someone on the waiting list can attend.
